The School of Mercy is located in the rural Carmilot area, in the northern mountains of Haiti, south of Cap Hatien. Re-opened in 2008, the school provides approximately 200 children the opportunity for a free primary education. Teacher’s salaries, book, supplies and uniforms are provided through individual donations. The school is operated as an outreach effort of Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC.Haiti Earthquake

The earthquake that hit Haiti on Tuesday has caused massive damage and lose of life. The full effects of the destruction are still being revealed. Our continuous prayers go out to the people of Port au Prince and all of those affected by this disaster.
